Sometimes, I run on coffee instead of sleep. Since finishing my undergraduate degree and entering the world of ‘adulthood’, I have been living off coffee. I spend the majority of my week in coffee shops, as I’m currently in the process of writing my very first children’s book I seem to get a lot of my writing done in there. I work in Birmingham and recently, I’ve been spending quite a lot of my time exploring and trying to find cute quirky coffee places that I can sit and write in. I’ve found quite a lot in Birmingham City Centre so, I thought I’d write a blog post on each one of them.
- 200 Degrees, Colmore Row, Birmingham.
I’ve only recently discovered 200 degrees, I work near there and my god, it is THE best place to sit and do some work in. I’ve found myself going back quite a few times. It has very dim lighting and has a fab atmosphere to sit and write and the coffee is amazing. It also has very good wifi, so that makes it even better. It also serves breakfast, brunch and lunch which all sound and look very tasty but, I only go in for the coffee and to people watch whilst I sit and write. 200 degrees is at the heart of Birmingham city centre and is right in the business district on Colmore row. So, it’s great for those writers who like to sit and listen to other peoples conversations to gain inspiration for their own writing (like me).
It is definitely worth a visit.
